MARS-500

MARS-500 was an experiment conducted to prepare mankind for future flight to Mars. During the third/final stage of experiment which took 520 days (2010-Jun-3 ~ 2011-Nov-4), one of the six chosen crew members, Wang Yue (王跃) from China was wearing FIYTA space watch, and FIYTA clocks were installed in the control room and living room of the habitable module.

To commemorate the Mars-500 experiment, FIYTA released this MARS-500 watch in the Aeronautics collection, limited to 520 pieces.

Mechanical, self-winding. Caliber: FIYTA unknown model. Functions: Hour, Minute, Second, Date, Day/Night, Chronograph (Central hour and minute hands, small seconds hand at 9 o'clock. Central chronograph seconds hand, 45-minute counter at 12 o'clock, 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock. AM/PM and date window at 3 o'clock.). Quick date setting.

CASE
Titanium Alloy. Diameter: 44 mm. Thickness: 13.5 mm. Lug width: 22 mm. Water resistance: 5 ATM. Weight: 133 grams (the whole watch including strap). Luminescence: Luminescence on central hour, minute and chronograph seconds hands, hour markers and the two color sectors in the 45-minute subdial. Bezel: Titanium Grey. Elapsed-Time Bezel. Anti-Clockwise rotatable. 120 clicks in a full rotation. Titanium Alloy bezel material. Dial: Black. Recessed subdials. Applied hour markers. Crystal: Sapphire Crystal. Flat. Titanium Alloy crown. Signed with the FIYTA watch logo. Turn the crown down/anti-clockwise to tighten it, turn up/clockwise to unscrew, and turn up to wind. Pull out 1st click and turn up to advance date, turn down for nothing. Pull out 2nd click and turn down/up to advance/retreat minute hand.
