This model is released to commemorate the Shenzhou 8 spacecraft that was launched on 2011 November 11. The watch case contains material used for "high-performance elastic alloys for Shenzhou 7 spacecraft launch vehicle navigation systems" (神舟七号飞船运载火箭导航系统的高性能弹性合金).
MOVEMENT
Mechanical, self-winding. Functions: Hour, minute, second, AM/PM, chronograph (Central hour, minute and chronograph seconds hands, small seconds hand at 9 o'clock, 45-minute counter at 12 o'clock, 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock, AM/PM window at 4 o'clock.).
CASE
Stainless steel. The case material contains special alloy used for Shenzhou 7 spacecraft launch vehicle navigation systems. Diameter: 44 mm. Thickness: 13.5 mm. Lug width: 22 mm. Water resistance: 50 meters. Bezel: Chronograph bezel. Anti-clockwise rotatable. The 7+1 hour scale on bezel is specially designed to indicate the limit time of stay outside cabin during spacewalk. Dial: Black. Crystal: Sapphire crystal. Has anti-reflective coating. Case back: Fixed with screws. Not transparent. Embossed patterns of taikonaut, reentry capsule and the Earth.
STRAP
Black. Rubber. No quick release: Need tool to remove strap from case. Fit for case lug width: 22 mm. Clasp: Fold-over clasp.
