The watch dial presents a view of the Haihe River (海河) and the Tianjin Railway Station, and on top of that, the movable Jiefang Bridge (解放桥).
The bridge model starts to lift up both arms at every even numbered hours such as 12 o'clock, 2 o'clock, 4 o'clock, etc., and then slowly puts them down. The whole process takes around 6 minutes.
