Design of the watch case pays homage to the specially customized Sea-Gull ST5B watch that accompanied China's first Antarctic expedition team in 1984.

Map of Antarctica on the dial. From 9 to 11 o'clock are coordinates of the Great Wall Station, which is the first Chinese research station on Antarctica since 1985-February-20. Under purple light, the watch dial would reveal some borders of Antarctica and five points representing Chinese research stations on Antarctica.
