The last character "笏" in the Chinese name of this watch "惊鸿之笏" refers to an ancient Chinese ceremonial tablet used by imperial officials to record notes or orders during meetings with the emperor.
This watch comes with a slightly curved, elongated watch box by default, designed to resemble the shape of the ceremonial tablet (笏). Similarly, the watch case features a subtle curve and a square shape as a tribute to this traditional form.
