This model is a remake of the Shanghai brand’s first dive watch — Model 114, also known as the “Commander’s Watch” (in Chinese: 将军表). It is released in 2025 to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of Shanghai Watch in 1955.
In the 1960s, at the request of the Second Department of the General Staff (总参二部), Shanghai Watch Factory organized the trial production of an automatic diving watch equipped with shock resistance, strong anti-magnetic properties, a date display, and 200-meter water resistance. This led to the creation of Model 114 — a 29-jewel military dive watch with a calendar — the brand’s first dive watch designed specifically for the armed forces.
