This watch was issued in limited 850 pieces to mark the 85th years since the victory of the Long March in 1936. Outline of the Minshan (岷山) Mountain appears on the black dial. The Minshan Mountain is monumental during the Long March, when Mao Zedong leads the Red Army and climbs over the snow mountain, the victory is at hand. On the left flank of the watch case engraves "陸軍 1 號" which means "Army Number One", on the case back engraves a map of the Long March, the journey started from "瑞金" (Ruijin city) of Jiangxi Province on 10th October 1934, through "遵义" (Zunyi city) and "延安" (Yan'an city), and finally the three main forces of the Red Army join forces in "会宁" (Huining city) of Gansu province in October 1936.

About the Long March:

In October 1934, after the failure of the fifth counter-encirclement campaign, in order to get rid of the encirclement and pursuit of the Kuomintang army, the central main force of the Red Army was forced to carry out a strategic transfer, to withdraw from the central revolutionary base area, and embark on a long march.

The Central Red Army fought more than 600 battles and captured more than 700 counties. During this period, the Red Army passed through 14 provinces, crossed 18 mountains, crossed 24 rivers, walked through barren grasslands, and crossed snow-capped mountains. The journey was about 25,000 li (Chinese mile, equals 12,500 kilometers). The Red Army arrived in northern Shaanxi in October 1935. In the revolutionary base area, it successfully joined forces with the Red Army in northern Shaanxi. In October 1936, the Second and Fourth Front Army of the Red Army arrived in Huining, Gansu Province, and joined forces with the First Front Army of the Red Army. The meeting of the three main forces of the Red Army marked the victory of the Long March.
