Six diamonds on the dial are connected by fine lines, forming the 文昌星 Wén Chāng Stars, a celestial symbol associated with wisdom, academic achievement, and a harmonious life.

The dial center is crafted from black goldstone and rotates clockwise once every hour. The hour markers from 1 to 11 are rendered in ancient Chinese Seal Script. At 12 o’clock, the traditional Shanghai Watch building-shaped logo is applied in 18K gold.
